There was a market within the stunning courtyard.The stunning hotel courtyard hosting a market.Your first impression on entering the building is the stunning copper walkway.The lobby is dominated by copper leaf and dark furniture.The concierge desk within the hotel lobby.The very realist bulldog Winston, guards the hotel lifts.The bedroom decor is surprisingly simple considering the drama elsewhere in the hotel.The striped carpet and dark furniture contrast with the stark bare walls.We felt that the TV seemed like an after thought.The furniture is very tasteful.The bedside Geneva sound system is excellent.The tea and coffee facilities.The bathroom is a dramatic place full covered in mirrors, dark wood, copper and marble.A mixture of marble, black wood and tinted mirror panels make a statement in the bathroom.The mirror panels and tinted glass theme carries through to the shower.The excellent Rosewood toiletries.

Thank you Harry. That’s a tough one. The Rosewood and the Shangri-La are two very different hotels. As a tourist visiting London for the first time, I would be inclined to recommend the Shangri-La. The views are iconic and it’s always a novelty to stay inside a landmark. However, the Rosewood is far more sympathetic to its surroundings than the Shangri-La. The décor and ambience feels far more British and the architecture of the building is very charming. Both locations are excellent but the Rosewood is better suited to nights out in the West End while the Shangri-La is better for attractions such as Tower Bridge, Borough Market and the Tower of London. I know that doesn’t answer your question directly but I hope it helps you to decide.
Hi. Does Rosewood still have smoking bedrooms, and if so, is it possible to get a wheelchair accessible smoking room? Starting to plan a trip to London for my hubby s birthday and he wants both as a smoker and wheelchair user, but I think he ll have to choose. Which is possible.

After our stay in the Rosewood Beijing, we had high hopes for this property, and decided to stay here in lieu of our current favorite London hotel.
